Workshop on drug-related homicide data collection (session 2)

Following the pilot exercise on drug-related homicide (DRH) data collection based on a new protocol, the EMCDDA is now organising a workshop at EU level that was extended to Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) 7 project partners. Kosovo*, North Macedonia and Serbia are attending.

The training is provided in two half-day sessions held two weeks apart, combining presentation and practical exercises, supported by the trainers, bridging it with an independent practical assignment with your own DRH data. The objective of the initial session on 23 April was to introduce the DRH Tool and to provide orientation around data coding and related issues, including through practice with concrete examples (provided for training purposes).

Session 2 focus on exchanges with trainers and other participants about issues with coding your own DRH data and come up with strategies to resolve these, as well as agreeing a way forward for prospective data collection.
